Who Am I? by Gestli

Who am I?” We all start fresh on our journey, not new to the world but unique to ourselves, a long way is waiting to be discovered, all just by yourself. We have many meanings, we are divided into these, they are what makes us the person who we reflect, But knowledge nor experience shall keep you apart from realizing what you want. We are humans in bones, our fists look strong, the outer look is just a superficial feature, your whole is inside you, You have to dig harder to find it new. We can have dreams, traditions, expectations, hopes, likes and dislikes, Our behavior is not a cruel robot, A feeling’s company is only for humans, Wherever you go, you keep them locked in your pockets. We are not meant to be defined from our life situation,- many say If there is something that you should now, is YOU and the magic sparks inside you, Never underestimate the power of the hero inside yourself You jus

Basketball Info

What is Basketball and what is March Madness? Bball or Basketball is played by millions of people, both men and women, in all parts of the world. Professional basketball is watched by millions more on TV. The game is played between two teams, with five players per team allowed on the court at any one time. Points are scored by getting the ball through a hoop called 'the goal' or 'the basket', and the team scoring the most points wins. History In 1891, Dr. James Naismith, a Canadian physical education instructor at YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, decided to create a new indoor game to keep his students fit during the cold winter months. He experimented with a team game in which players threw a soccer ball to each other and scored by throwing it into a peach basket nailed high on a wall. Later that year he wrote the first version of the rules of what he now called 'Basket Ball'. In 1906, the baskets were replaced by metal hoops in f

General Essay Writing Tips

Image
General Essay Writing Tips    Writing a compelling essay is a challenging task for high school students. Translating thoughts and research into an effectively stated argument requires careful attention to detail. While the body of the essay is crucially important, the introduction and conclusion contribute strongly to the reader's overall impressions. An effective introduction hooks the reader so he wants to read more about the topic. The conclusion provides the reader with a final understanding of your argument and stimulates further thought. First Impressions The first paragraph of your essay acts as a foundation for the piece, telling your reader what he can expect. A strong introduction grabs the reader's attention and inspires him to read on. Use a hook to catch your reader. It could be a bit of surprising information you discovered while researching your topic. Maybe it's a short narrative that relates to your topic. It could also be an

10 Women Immigrants Who Changed Art, Thought, and Politics in the U.S. 03/20/2017 Hedy Lamarr, 1944. Publicity photo for The Heavenly Body. With the current attention to immigrants from both sides of the political fence, it seems pertinent to examine some of the women who came to the U.S. and then made changes from within our borders. Some sought to escape oppression in their homelands or were seeking new economic opportunities. Others may have been attracted to a place that boasts free thought and equal opportunity. Whether or not these dreams were realized, the following 10 women changed art, thought, and politics in the U.S. — and beyond.   1. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross (1926-2004) Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross was a Swiss-born psychiatrist and famous for her theory of the five stages of grief. She was also known for her work in the AIDS movement and hospice care. She moved to the United States in 1958. 2. Isabel Allende (1942-) Known for her many “magical reali
